The Center of Journalism Technologies is an independent non-profit organization.
It was founded in April, 2001, in Nizhny Novgorod, one of the biggest Russian Cities.
Among the prior tasks of our work are:
Extension of information space through the system of various press-conferences, "round-tables", club meetings etc. for journalists;
Creation of the system of training programs for journalists;
Collaboration with organizations and foundations in organizing professional training and projects for journalists;
Cooperation with journalism departments of local universities in the development of different training programs for future journalists.
Although the Center of Journalism Technologies is a young organization, all of its employees have considerable experience in implementing interesting training projects for journalists (involving the Nizhny Novgorod Journalists' Union, National Press Institute, etc.) that have shown that a complex approach to media workers' re-training is quite possible. The Center has actively cooperated with the Open Society Institute, the British Council, "Internews", SREDA Media-center and other international and Russian organizations.
We took forward to broadening our professional contacts and are open to collaboration with our colleagues from other regions and countries.
